WACKO MARIA is pulling out all the stops for dance music veteran, DJ Harvey’s upcoming Tokyo tour stop with a custom Hawaiian Shirt. Raised in London, Harvey was widely influential in bringing American house and disco music to the shores of Britain in the late 80’s and early 90’s, booking acts like Larry Levan, running his own club and spinning as a resident at London’s infamous Ministry of Sound nightclub. The shirt comes adorned with disco balls and portraits of Harvey and though it may be a little too cold outside for a Hawaiian shirt in most places, it would certainly be well-suited to the dance floor. Available from Wacko Maria’s Paradise Tokyo shop on November 18th, the same night that Harvey will be playing a live set at CONTACT Tokyo.
