MUJI Designer Naoto Fukasawa Launches First Solo Exhibition in Japan

Tokyo’s Panasonic Shiodome Museum hosts AMBIENT, the first solo exhibition in Japan from acclaimed product designer Naoto Kukasawa. Best known for his work with MUJI, Kukasawa has also contributed his clean, minimal designs to the likes of Alessi, Artek, Thonet, Samsung and Herman Miller. Balancing form with function, “Fukasawa shapes an object based on the environment it is to be placed in, which in turn implies that this is the shape that the environment demands.” Showcasing everything from timepieces and luggage to kitchen appliances and compact furniture, the exhibition will run until 1st October.

Shiodome Museum,
4F Panasonic Tokyo Shiodome bldg,
1-5-1 Higashi-Shimbashi, Minato-ku,
