With a renewed exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, Ryan McGinley reflects on the past 14 years since he made history. The notorious wunderkind made quite the stir in 2003, opening his first solo show at the Whitney Museum of American Art. The youngest to have done so, McGinley’s ‘The Kids Are Alright’ garnered devotees and admirers alike. His chronicled photographs capture his own youth as well as his outfit of artists, urchins, and writers.
