Kinfolk Revisit Comme des Garçons Magazine, Six

Kinfolk take a look back at one of Comme des Garçons many multi-media experiments, Kawakubo describing image-heavy biannual Six as “…visual representation of the collection, purely for image.” Running for only eight issues from its launch in 1988, this sizeable, unbound A3 journal now sells at upwards of two thousand dollars for a complete set. Loosely focused on the idea of the sixth sense, with art direction from Tsuguya Inoue and Atsuko Kozasu on editor duties, contributions come from the likes of Gilbert and George, Peter Lindbergh, Azzedine Alaïa and Bruce Weber.
