Classic American Eyewear Brand Julius Tart Optical Returns

Following several comebacks over the past few decades, Julius Tart Optical takes another run at the market, relaunching under the direction of Richard Tart, nephew of the company’s founder, Julius Tart. Teaming up with Japan’s The Light Co., the folks behind Native & Sons and Max Pittion, original sketches and samples will form the basis of this collection, each piece handmade in. A leading name in the ’50s and ‘60s, Tart sat beside the likes of Anglo American Optical and Bausch & Lomb, producing classic styles of the era including its popular Arnel model, famously worn by James Dean and reproduced endlessly to this day.
