NEIGHBORHOOD sub-line LUKER has teamed up with British designer Katherine E.Hamnett for a capsule collection based on the Hamnett's extensive archives. Rising to prominence during the tumultuous and divisive years of Thatcher's Britain, she is best known for her political, ethical and environmental activism and bold slogan t-shirts. LUKER always features strong influence from various UK subcultures and with a seasonal focus on 80's New Wave and club culture, the collaboration is a perfect fit. Though it references Hamnett's decades old archives, the collection seems all too relevant in today's bizarre political climate with slogans such as PROTEST AND SURVIVE and LEADERS SUCK. For those who prefer more subdued items, the collection also includes a very nice hybrid MA-1/Harrington jacket with multiple front pockets, as well as a pair of skinny denim jeans and sweatpants.
