This Spring/Summer "Ground Control" season, nonnative enlists a number of collaborators for its "Special Products" offerings; to me the most notable being the aptly named "Cowboy" denim capsule with classic american jean makers Wrangler. The collaboration consists of a set of three items inspired by Wrangler's heritage in being adopted as the official jeans of the United States Professional Rodeo Association in the 70's. Utilizing Wrangler's 18oz denim for the jacket and the jeans, and 8oz for the shirt; nonnative's customary slim cut and details from the "Tracker Blouson", "Dweller 5P Jeans", and "Rancher Shirt" are applied to the aforementioned base models. Manufactured by Wrangler, paying homage to the brand's storied history, the tags feature the modern brands predecessor - Blue Bell Jeans. Further keeping in line with Wrangler's classic aesthetics, the pieces all feature left-hand twill construction for a softer hand resulting in unique fading properties, which I am interested to see. The denim trio is now available at COVERCHORD.
