KAPITAL SS.2016 Collection

HAVEN just dropped their first delivery of select pieces from KAPITAL's comprehensive collection for SS '16. Lately, a lot from the brand has been featured on our site, but they consistently put out such eclectic and meticulously well made product that it's worth mentioning everytime a new capsule surfaces. This season sees a continuation of vintage inspired and one of a kind  mixed material comprised pieces that are usually the stand outs for me. Below are some of my favourites from this delivery.

New for this season are these '70s inspired waffle trainers updated with a suede and leather construction featuring iconic MA-1 flight jacket detailing in standard black/olive and orange colourways. They come laceless, but house elastic vamp panels for a slip on feel and the zippered utility pocket can come in handy when you need to be discreet with what you're carrying.

KAPITAL's KOUNTRY range is highlighted by hand washed, heavily distressed and patchwork constructed pieces that differ slightly in detailing from the next, meaning every item is a one of kind garment. This sub category is super limited and distribution outside of Japan is even more so, making it pretty hard to track down a piece you like if you hesitate; the overdyed graphic tees and noragis usually sell out first so act fast.

The '50s Hawaiian / bowling shirts are a summer staple so I had to include these two. The fit is usually slim on KAPITAL's renditions and the hemlines are cut high so I'd recommend sizing up. What sets these a part from so many others are the obscurely sourced fabrics and uneven treatments- giving them a "thrift store find" aesthetic.
