NEXUSVII is one of the most unique brands that came out of the Ura-Harajuku movement during the early 2000s. Even though the brand has not been making as big an impact as it previously did since its creation in 2001, I am still an avid fan of Tomohiro Konno's designs which remain heavily rooted in functional aesthetics and quality craftsmanship. The Bandana Tropical Sandals are released as part of its MADMAXX range, named after the post-apocalyptic epic where resources are in short supply. Always incorporating repurposed elements, vintage bandanas are upcycled in the construction of the summer footwear. Offered in a choice of black, red and navy accents with either nylon or cotton denim majority, the sandals sit atop a suede/cork footbed with rubber field outsoles. Available now at the NEXUSVII Webstore.
