Japanese outerwear specialist- nanamica, known for their "Sports" and "Utility" designs, released their latest Soutien Collar Coat for Spring/Summer 2016. Every season, the designer and owner Eiichiro Homma, creates different versions of this signature jacket by mixing classic and technical fabrics, like wool or denim with Gore-Tex membranes.
As a Japanese indigo dyed enthusiast, this season's jacket caught my eyes. A classic cotton fabric is associated with nylon, traditionally dyed and made in Japan. Available in two different shades of blue, the coat is definitively one of my favourite spring items and is expected to age nicely over use. Unfortunately for those who don’t live in Japan, the jacket is only available through nanamica's brick and mortar locations and web shop for Japanese residents.
