I'm a huge fan of Futagami from Japan. The company make some of the nicest homewares around. Working mainly with brass, their products age beautifully over time. Their newest line, MATUREWARE, takes their design sensibilities and applies them to everyday architectural hardware around your home (light switches, door handles, shelf brackets, latches, and name plaques).
MATUREWARE will be having their international launch during NYC x Design week at Nalata Nalata with the opening reception being help on May 11th, 7:00 - 9:00 PM. The designer Yamazaki Yoshiki and owner Toshihiro Futagami will be present so it's a great opportunity to meet the people behind the designs. If you can't make the opening reception, the exhibition runs until May 17th.
