When I first discovered COMOLI a few seasons ago I assumed it was a European label. The name sounds vaguely Italian and the understated detailing, clean lines, and muted colour palettes give the collection an old-world feel. However the brand is based in Tokyo and was created by designer Keijiro Kamori in 2011 with the aim of re-working western styles for the Japanese climate. This spring's collection continues the brands subtle styling and refined, relaxed silhouettes and the 'Tylocken Coat' is one of my favorites. Made from a lightweight, nicely textured cotton typewriter fabric, the long jacket features a large lapel collar and simple belt closure. Available now at COVERCHORD.
