ED TEMPLETON | One Picture Book #95 : Memories of the Salt...

Conceived by the Nazraeli Press in 1998, the One Picture Book series was created as a way to make original artwork affordable. The series consists of uniformly designed, modestly-sized hardcover books, comprising 16 pages that serve as a “canvas” for the artist to display one cohesive body of work. Each One Picture Book is published in an edition of 500 numbered copies, and each contains an original tipped-in photograph, signed on the verso by the artist; hence the name of the series. The One Picture Book series will end soon at its 100th title in 2016, and will begin anew (in a slightly revised format) shortly thereafter

A recent edition that sparked my interest was from professional skateboarder and artist Ed Templeton:

Templeton takes us along on a 5-day family roadtrip from Pismo Beach to San Francisco via Santa Cruz in March of 2016, photographing in black-and-white and color as “These beings and their myriad trips swirl around you whispering stories impossible to understand in the time weʼve been allotted.”
