Japanese leather experts 'Hender Scheme' offer a glimpse at their upcoming Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Dubbed 'post-modern' designer Ryo Kashiwazaki sought to blend old and new by incorporating streetwear elements to classic designs, and traditional elements to typical 'street' designs. Now well known outside of Japan for their sneaker inspired 'Homage' line, Hender Scheme also produces a full range of unique footwear, accessories, luggage and homewares.
This season see's the introduction of several new models including the '2015' which combines traditional woven huarache sandals over a running shoe silhouette sitting utop a thick cushioned midsole. Another highlight is the 'Samidare'; a chunky lug-sole oxford which comes with a removable, waterproof pig-skin covering which both protects from rain and drastically alters the aesthetic of the shoe.
Alongside the impressive footwear offerings are a durable canvas tote bag, leather bracelets, a breezy woven cap and a whimsical natural leather windmill. Look for the Hender Scheme SS16 collection at select stockists in early 2016.
